Cowan Elementary

Fourth-grade teacher Juli Naranjo came to Austin’s Cowan Elementary 18 years ago when it first opened and has been guiding her young math, science, and ESL students there ever since. Naranjo already was an experienced teacher when she signed on at Cowan, but a fortuitous conversation with EduSmart co-founder Nalini Kumar at a local school football game introduced her to a new teaching tool she wasn’t then aware of - EduSmart.

Harris County Department of Education

This preliminary report presents the findings from the evaluation of the schools using EduSmart Science program from January 2008 to May 2009. The report was based on student achievement, teacher satisfaction, and teacher and principal testimonials. As of January 2008 to May 2009, 74 Texas schools purchased EduSmart Science. Schools had the software from less than a month to 15 months.
